MOI love having shelf stable foods in large amounts in my basement! Even before we owned land, I kept buckets of dried goods in my basement apartment.
Especially for organic and high-quality ingredients, it saves SO much money buying in bulk versus buying in small packages at the grocery store. I figured up the savings a few years ago, and it was truly astounding.
I also love that when the grocery stores are struggling with supply, I don’t have to worry about it.
Also, if I’m baking and run out of flour or sugar in my containers upstairs, I can just run to my basement and fill up my containers. No need to call the neighbors or do emergency runs to the store.
I get sugar, oatmeal, wheat berries, and rice from Azure Standard. We grow the dent corn, dried beans, and popcorn on her own land. They’re the perfect self-sufficiency foods. The salt we get from Redmond real salt. I have a discount code for Redmond salt in my bio if you’re interested. Your welcome.😉
