ANMY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣 I am 43 years old and I just bought my first home.
Yeah it’s not a multi-million dollar home with a white picket fence. It’s actually an old 1982 RV with a built-in living room and deck. And somehow it already feels like home. The funny part is it was built the same year I was born. So I’m taking it as a sign that we’re meant to grow old together.
For the past few years I’ve been living in my van… and then in my mom’s attic. And while those chapters served their purpose, it finally felt like time to create a place that was truly mine.
I didn’t want to move into an apartment and keep pouring money into rent for something I would never own. And I didn’t want to take on a huge mortgage that would quietly decide how much I have to work for the rest of my life. And be trapped. Yet again.
Last year I started going through perimenopause, and something strange happened. After just two weeks of being here, my body shifted. I got my period again… after only having it twice in an entire year.
Twice.
That was my body telling me something important. My nervous system had been in survival mode for years. Chronic stress was running the show.
I don’t want to wait until I’m 60 to start living my life. I want things to slow down now. I want to live simply. I want to travel when I want. I want space to breathe.
The era of overworking and missing out on life is canceled. I’m choosing peace, regulating my nervous system, and aligning my energy with the best possible reality.
This is just the beginning. Follow along as I turn it into my dream Forest Cottage.
