CLWhy Simple Mills uses Sunflower Oil!
If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I have been recommending @simplemills crackers since Day 1.
The reason I recommend avoiding conventional vegetable and seed oils like canola, soybean, and sunflower oil is because they are:
- Chemically extracted with hexane
- High in inflammatory omega 6 fats (or polyunsaturated fats)
- And oxidize very easily when exposed to heat
However, Simple Mills uses Organic Expeller Pressed High Oleic Sunflower Oil in their crackers which is:
- Not chemically extracted
- Low in omega 6 fats and high in good omega 9 fats
- More stable at higher heat than conventional sunflower oil making it less inflammatory
So pick up a box of Simple Mills crackers at a store near you!
