TI“Will you be moving house?” is a question we had a lot during my pregnancy but it honestly never occurred to me. Especially since it took us 2 years to renovate this place 😅 A small home can still be a family home too aaand it works for us right now 👇🏼
A smaller mortgage = less stress
An obvious one but living in a smaller house allows us to have more financial freedom, and ultimately means I can be at home with Sidney.
It’s pretty easy to clean and maintain
I just about keep on top of the cleaning in our little terraced house, I’m not sure how I would cope with the upkeep of a big house.
More togetherness
Although an extra room would make this house perfect (I miss having a wardrobe room!) I do think a smaller space brings us closer as a family. We can’t escape each other here 😂
Encourages more intentional living
I think in a smaller house you have to be very intentional with what you bring into the home as we simply don’t have the space for too much ‘stuff’.
I can keep an eye on Sid
I found this particularly useful when Sid was younger, as our downstairs is open plan I could be cooking dinner while he was playing in the lounge with his toys.
Do you live in a small house, do you like it? #smallhome #smallhomes
