Located at the southern end of the Gold Coast in Gold Coast, near the border of Queensland and New South Wales, Snapper Rocks is one of the most famous surf breaks in the world. It’s part of the Superbank — a long, man-made sandbank that creates some of the longest and most perfect right-hand point breaks on the planet.
Snapper Rocks became globally recognized through the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, a major stop on the World Surf League Championship Tour. Many world champions have showcased their skills here, making it a dream wave for high-performance surfing.

🔥 Best Conditions: East to southeast swell with light offshore winds
🏄 Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced (it can get crowded and competitive!)
Snapper Rocks is known for its perfectly shaped barrels, long carving sections, and high-performance walls — ideal for progressive maneuvers. When the swell is pumping, rides can connect through Rainbow Bay and beyond, offering incredibly long waves.
