Admiral William H. McRaven, born on 6 November 1955 in Pinehurst, advanced through the U.S. Navy SEALs by approaching special operations as a craft grounded in careful planning, emotional control, and global awareness. He emphasized discipline and understanding over spectacle, reshaping how elite missions were conceived and led. As commander of Joint Special Operations in the early twenty-first century, McRaven stood at the center of operations that influenced U.S. security strategy, including the mission that killed Osama bin Laden. His leadership demonstrated how clarity of intent and disciplined execution could alter the course of national policy. Distinct from many military leaders, McRaven communicated with precision and restraint, translating complex missions into enduring lessons on leadership and responsibility. After retirement, he carried this ethos into academia and public life, building a legacy defined by rigor, judgment, and measured authority rather than bravado. #motivation #successdriven #mindset #lifelessons. #dailyinspiration

Admiral William H. McRaven (born 6 November 1955 in Pinehurst) rose through the US Navy SEALs by treating special operations as a discipline of planning, composure and geopolitical literacy. His command of Joint Special Operations during the early twenty first century placed him at the center of missions that shaped American foreign policy and security doctrine, culminating in the operation against Osama bin Laden. Unlike many military figures he communicated in clean prose and institutional clarity, turning complex operations into lessons on leadership, decision tempo and accountability. After retiring he entered academia and public commentary, proving that operational excellence can translate into civil authority. McRaven’s legacy rests on precision rather than bravado. @lussiety

He was called “the most dangerous man in Europe” — but his story didn’t end with the fall of Nazi Germany. Otto Skorzeny became famous during World War II as a commando leader in the Waffen-SS. His most celebrated operation was the 1943 rescue of Benito Mussolini from captivity in Italy — a daring airborne raid that turned him into a propaganda icon of the Third Reich. Skorzeny later commanded special operations units that carried out sabotage and deception missions behind enemy lines. After the war, however, his path took a far more controversial turn. According to multiple historical accounts, Skorzeny was recruited in the 1960s by Mossad. Israel reportedly sought his assistance in tracking and intimidating former German scientists who were working on missile programs for Egypt. The idea that a former SS officer could cooperate with Israeli intelligence remains one of the most astonishing paradoxes of postwar history. Hero to some, opportunist to others, Skorzeny’s life reflects the moral gray zones of the Cold War era — where former enemies sometimes became covert assets, and ideology often gave a way to strategic necessity. #meme #politics #history #Germany

President Trump said Thursday he was not putting American troops on the ground in Iran amid speculation he is considering deploying forces to support operations as the war approaches its fourth week. “I’m not putting troops anywhere,” he told reporters during an Oval Office meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. “If I were, I certainly wouldn’t tell you. But I’m not putting troops.” Multiple outlets have reported the administration is considering using troops to secure the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Iran’s Kharg Island, the hub for 90% of the country’s oil exports. The administration has also reportedly discussed conducting a highly complex special operations mission to secure the regime’s enriched uranium, much of which is stored in deep underground facilities. President Trump has declined to put a timeline on the war but told reporters “it’s going to be over with soon” and described the “little excursion” as “substantially ahead of schedule.” “We’ve obliterated their navy, we’ve obliterated their — just about everything there is to be obliterated,” he said. “As you know, their leadership is gone.” So far, at least 13 U.S. service members have died in the conflict since it began late last month, with another 200 wounded, though many have since returned to duty. ED'S FIELD REPORT: ( DJI Ryu ) The democratization of "off-the-shelf" precision airpower has reached a fever pitch. Once the domain of high-budget state actors, DJI’s consumer ecosystem (Mavic, Matrice, and Avata series) is now the primary tactical asset for both national defenders and transnational criminal organizations. The Mexican Theater: Narco-Terrorism In central Mexico (Michoacán, Guerrero, and Jalisco), the CJNG and Sinaloa Cartel have transitioned from primitive IED drops to organized "Drone Operator" units. Tactics: Deployment of FPV (First-Person View) drones like the DJI Avata 2 for high-speed strikes. Operational Shift: Cartels are no longer just using drones for surveillance; they are conducting "carpet bombing" runs on rural communities to clear territory, mimicking military area-denial strategies. Intelligence Leak: Reports indicate cartel "volunteers" have embedded in foreign conflict zones specifically to harvest FPV piloting and electronic warfare evasion skills. The Ukrainian Front: High-Intensity Defense For Ukrainian special operations and drone battalions, DJI platforms have been the backbone of frontline reconnaissance. The "Mavic" Standard: The Mavic 3 remains the most ubiquitous ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) tool in history, though Kyiv is now aggressively pivoting to homegrown alternatives to mitigate reliance on Chinese supply chains and data vulnerabilities. Electronic Warfare (EW): Both sides are locked in a "cat-and-mouse" game of firmware hacking to bypass DJI's "Aeroscope" (which can track pilot locations) and signal jamming. Key Trends to Watch Fiber-Optic Control: Emergence of wire-guided drones to bypass heavy radio-frequency jamming. Weaponized FPVs: The shift from reusable bombers to single-use, high-speed loitering munitions. Anti-Drone Arms Race: Global demand for "C-UAS" (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) is skyrocketing as traditional air defenses prove too expensive for $600 threats. 📌Observer Note: none of the units in the video I posted are military grade with the applications to anybody with an imagination and zip ties is clear. Anything is a dildo if your brave enough.

You called the flight attendant. Said you felt "unsafe." Said my dog "looked like he could snap." Asked why a pit bull was even allowed on a plane. Ma'am, let me tell you about Duke. That "aggressive" dog spent six years with Marine Special Operations in places I'm not allowed to name. He's a Multi-Purpose Canine—trained in tracking, apprehension, and explosive detection. He's been shot twice. Kept working. The scar on his left shoulder? Shrapnel from an IED in Helmand Province. He found four more that day before they medevac'd him out. The limp you probably noticed? Earned saving his handler from an ambush. Took three rounds so a 22-year-old kid could make it home to his daughter. Duke has a Navy Commendation Medal. He has a Purple Heart. He has paperwork that says he's responsible for saving an estimated 40+ American lives. What he doesn't have? A single bite incident. Ever. The "snap" you're worried about? The only thing this dog has ever snapped at was enemy combatants trying to kill U.S. Marines. So no, ma'am. I won't be moving. But you're welcome to thank him for his service. He's heard worse from the Taliban. #MilitaryK9 #WarDog #ServiceDog #PitbullHero #SemperFi #USMC #DontJudge #HeroesWearFur #DFW

Weekly lesson in distorted history with the president of the United States of America. While speaking with Maria Bartiromo about NATO, Trump stated “We’ve never needed them, we have never really asked anything of them... You know, they’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan, or this or that, and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines.” Ironically, the invocation of Article 5 was proposed by NATO’s Secretary General George Robertson in a call with Colin Powell on the evening of September 11th, 2001 in response to the attacks. Powell initially was against the US directly invoking it but said he would prefer if NATO made the decision independently. After 3 weeks of deliberations amongst NATO members, it was affirmed that the September 11 attack originated from outside the United States, meaning it would fall under Article 5. This led to multiple NATO operations being launched such as Eagle Assist and additional measures being put in place such as total airspace clearance for USAF aircraft over NATO territory. This would be followed by NATO special operations units beginning operations in Afghanistan such as British 22 SAS in October 2001 and Canada’s JTF2 in December 2001. By late December 2001 the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was founded at the request of the UN security council leading to more service members from NATO countries being deployed to Afghanistan. Also note that there were no “front lines” in the traditional sense in Afghanistan during the GWOT.

Win the first small battle. Admiral William H. McRaven, a U.S. Navy SEAL and former commander of U.S. Special Operations, shared this idea in his famous commencement speech about making your bed, because he understood that discipline isn’t built in heroic moments, it’s built in tiny, boring, repeatable actions that prove to your brain that you keep promises to yourself, and when you stack those small wins day after day they quietly turn into confidence, momentum, and the ability to handle much bigger challenges in life. You called the flight attendant. Said you felt “uncomfortable.” Said my dog looked “dangerous.” Asked why a pit bull like that was even allowed to fly. Ma’am, let me introduce you to Duke. That “dangerous” pit bull spent six years deployed as a Military Working Dog alongside U.S. Special Operations. He wasn’t trained to scare civilians — he was trained to save lives. Duke is a certified Multi-Purpose K9. Tracking hostile targets. Detecting explosives before they became folded flags. Protecting Marines when everything went sideways. He’s been shot. Twice. And he never stopped working. That scar on his shoulder you keep staring at? Shrapnel from an IED overseas. Even after the blast, bleeding and disoriented, Duke went back to work and located multiple secondary devices before collapsing. He didn’t quit — they pulled him out. The limp you noticed? That came from taking rounds during an ambush so his handler — a 22-year-old Marine — could make it home alive, hug his daughter, and grow old. Duke has military commendations. He has a Purple Heart. Official after-action reports credit him with saving more than 40 American lives. Know what else he has? Zero bite incidents. Not one. Ever. The “snap” you’re afraid of? The only things Duke has ever gone after were armed men trying to kill U.S. service members. So no, ma’am — I won’t be changing seats. But you’re welcome to say thank you. Trust me. He’s heard far worse from people who were actually dangerous. 💙🐾 #MilitaryK9 #PitBullHero #K9Strong #ServiceDog #WarDog #RespectTheBreed
