Triphasic training in the off-season is a great way to deliberately target specific muscle contractions placing an emphasis on maximizing the specific outputs associated with said contractions. It’s also an effective way to mitigate stress, as concentric only and ISO based sessions accrue high MF recruitment with reduced associated fatigue, compared to their counterpart - Eccentric only. In contrast isolating eccentric muscle contractions allows us to place a significant (in some cases overreaching) demand on the tissue & CNS thus squeezing all the juice out when it comes to muscular strength and size development. 🫰 Let’s not forget motor neuron recruitment and motor coordination. It’s an efficient way of teaching young athletes how to move, engage, and drive movement through intent. And let’s face it, it’s something new for most people, so the novelty in itself is enough to drive adaptation. What is the best running gel according to sport science? 🏃‍♂️💨 Not all gels are created equal. Of course this is just scratching the surface on fueling during your runs. I haven’t even mentioned: • Texture & taste 👅 • How many carbs you’re aiming for per hour 📊 • Or whether you even want to use gels at all! But hopefully this gives a simple, science-based breakdown of why some gels might work better than others! In a digestible way (pardon the pun) ⁉️What’s your go- to gel/ fuel during your runs?? ⁉️ #runningfuel #marathontraining #londonrunners #runnersofinstagram #londonrunning #sportscience

If you’re a football player looking to improve your catching ability, it’s time to ditch the gloves and start training barehanded! Training without gloves can help you develop better grip strength and enhance the neural receptors on your hands, ultimately improving your ability to catch the ball. Without gloves, you’ll be forced to rely solely on the strength of your hands and fingers, which will translate to better grip on the ball during games. Additionally, your neural receptors will become more attuned to the sensation of catching a ball, making it easier for you to react quickly and accurately to incoming passes. So next time you hit the field, leave the gloves behind and focus on building up your barehanded catching skills. With consistent practice, you’ll notice a significant improvement in your catching ability, giving you an edge over the competition. #FootballTraining #CatchLikeAPro #GripStrength #BarehandedTraining #FootballSkills #HandEyeCoordination #NeuralReceptors #GameDayReady #TrainHard #AthleteLife #FootballLife #SportsTraining #FitnessMotivation #NoPainNoGain #WorkoutMotivation #FootballIsLife #TrainLikeAChampion #FootballDrills #TrainToWin #SportScience #FootballTips

Badminton is one of the fastest and most skill-intensive sports on the planet, demanding lightning-quick reflexes, razor-sharp focus, and elite hand-eye coordination. Played at speeds exceeding 60-70 km/h, every rally becomes a battle of anticipation, spin control, and split-second decision-making. Modern table tennis blends physics, strategy, and athleticism. Players manipulate topspin, backspin, and sidespin to control ball trajectory, bounce, and speed, turning each shot into a tactical weapon. The sport challenges both the body and the brain, activating rapid neural responses and improving reaction time more than most competitive games. From Olympic arenas to local clubs, table tennis continues to grow globally due to its accessibility, intense pace, and mental depth. It sharpens concentration, boosts cardiovascular fitness, and enhances coordination — making it both a high-performance sport and a powerful training tool for cognitive agility. Whether played professionally or casually, table tennis proves that speed, precision, and intelligence matter more than size or strength — earning its reputation as a true sport of champions. #innovation #sportscience #viral

One of the Simplest Ways to Read Someone🧠 One of the quickest, most overlooked ways to read stress, deception, or focus is blink rate. Rapid blinking often signals anxiety or deception. On the flip side, an unusually slow blink rate can indicate intense focus — and in certain cases, even predatory attention, like in manipulative or psychopathic individuals. Because blinking is an unconscious behavior, we can’t easily fake or control it — making it a subtle yet powerful window into someone’s emotional state. Start paying attention to it, especially when the blink rate shifts mid-conversation. It might reveal more than their words ever could. Read Caption 👇 Seth Feroce breaks down the correct way to do lateral raises—no ego, just precision. Elbows slightly bent, lead with them instead of the hands, raise just below shoulder height, and control every inch. If you’re swinging the weight or feeling it in your traps, you’re doing it wrong. This small movement, done right, builds those capped shoulders that set physiques apart. But even a perfect lateral raise won’t take you far without a structured plan. That’s why we built a training system that follows every tip like this with intention. You can choose between a 6-Day Workout Split for Building Muscle, a 6-Day Workout Split for Getting Stronger, a 6-Day Workout Split for Getting Lean, or the 9-Day Workout Split from CBUM’s Olympia Prep. Here’s the cheat sheet:** 1️⃣ Two Moves at Once: - **Horizontal:** Constant speed (thanks, inertia!). - **Vertical:** Gravity pulls down at *9.8 m/s²*. 2️⃣ The Arc: - Starts fast, slows at the top, speeds up again. - *Perfect parabola* (unless air resistance messes it up). 3️⃣ Real-World Magic: - Basketball = 45° for max distance. - Bullets = *way faster* but same rules! 💬 What’s your favorite projectile?
