HUStill think about this amazing buck almost everyday. It makes me more than amazed to see fish like this inhabit creeks that average 15ft wide and less than 3 feet deep.
To have success on small creeks takes a different mindset. Learning to break away from the chains of traditional casting, and to think of it as a hunt more than fishing are some of the processes needed to hone in on fish like these in tiny waters.

📍Littlefield’s at Spring Creek near Peggs, Oklahoma
Things to know:
🚗 An hour east of Tulsa
💧 It’s spring fed, so the water is clear and cold
💲 $10 per carload for the day, or $15 for primitive camping
👙 The water here is only about waist deep, but definitely bring some tubes to float on
🛟 No lifeguards on duty, so swim at your own risk
🧻 Port-a-potty’s available
🧺 No concessions, so pack a cooler and spend the day here
🧑🧑🧒🧒 We visited on a weekday and it wasn’t crowded, but I hear the weekends get busy- I would plan on arriving early!
