SEThe sun is out so I’m wearing a dress and I couldn’t be happier about it! Ember is one of the first dresses I reach for as the weather changes. The elbow length sleeves make it perfect for these in-between days. And for a little extra warmth in the morning I added my quilted Hinterland vest.
This vest remains a delightful little addition to my wardrobe, and I particularly love it over a sleeved dress, where the balance of volume, texture, and color feels just right. You can find instructions for how to make two different types of quilted vests (a slipover like this or one that opens in front) using the Hinterland pattern on our blog. Just hop on over, click Hinterland from the list of categories, and you will find this hack and so much more!
And if hacking patterns isn’t your thing our dear friend Justice of @threadandsprout has an amazing quilted slipover vest pattern called “soft armor”. She was who originally inspired me to make my quilted vest a couple of years ago!
