EVA few other Cactus League Spring Training Takeaways NOT covered in this video.
- Check the weather, but to be safe, only do night games 🥵
- If good seats are important to you, this is the time to get more bang for your buck, but if not, bring a blanket and go with the lawn!
- If you love baseball, regardless of what team you root for, visit the other team practices! Make sure you check daily practice times - it depends on their game schedule. Bring balls to sign and pens.
- If you’re a Dodgers fan try to go in the first week of opening because a lot of the roster leaves to the World Baseball Classic (we missed Shohei by one day)
- Visit the team practices on a week day for smaller crowds.
- If you go to more than one game, make sure they are at different ball parks!
- Hanging out by the bullpens gives you the best chance of getting thrown a ball!
- if you have a favorite team, try to find a game where it’s not a “split squad” so you are more likely to see the main roster.
- If you have small kids, the Peoria Sports Complex has kid friendly areas and activities at the park.
