Photographers: How to feather light. 🔥 Half your light is being wasted and you probably don’t even realize it. If your light is aimed directly at your subject, you are hitting them with the brightest part and losing additional light behind them. It’s simply not wrapping. Try this- Move your light forward and slightly away so your subject lines up toward the back edge of the modifier. Now the entire surface wraps across the front of their face instead of getting thrown where it doesn’t belong. It softens highlights, creates beautiful contrast, and helps you stay in control of where the light goes. It’s called feathering. Small adjustment. Massive difference. Save this for your next shoot. #studiolighting #photographylighting #feathering #portraitphotography #headshotphotographer
