YES! 💕
Evidence-based research tells us that swaddling is GOOOOOD, as long as it’s done safely and correctly. (I dive into the research and link it all for you in my blog "Should I Swaddle My Baby?" - Link in bio and today’s stories!)
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
➕𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀.
Regular blankets (yes, even the ones labeled “swaddle blankets”) aren't the best option, as they can easily come undone. I prefer swaddles with velcro or zippers for the snuggest fit.

Once a baby can flip onto his belly, he needs his hands free to push up from the mattress. (I have a blog all about this too!)

SHThe most traditional and recognized swaddle method:
the Burrito Swaddle
It’s easy to learn, and keeps arms AND legs swaddled. A couple tips:
*Swaddle baby’s arms comfortably across their stomach
*Make sure baby’s hips and legs can still move when you bring the bottom corner of the swaddle up
*Stretch each side of the swaddle up and over the shoulder before tucking underneath the other side
(this is where stretchy swaddles are king- ability to get a tight swaddle baby is less likely to break out of 🙌🏻)
