OIOne number I keep thinking about this week: $28 billion.
That’s what Nigeria could have added to its GDP by 2025 if more women moved into leadership.
But here’s the interesting part.
According to the 2025 Reykjavik Index, nine in ten Nigerians believe a woman can be the CEO of a major company. The belief is already there.
Still, I think about the data from the FairStart campaign from last year: only one in three women get access to entry level jobs.
So the pipeline starts narrowing very early.
As someone who works with people and teams, I’m always reminded that those first opportunities matter a lot and these Gaps have real economic costs not just personal ones.
