There are 6 different words to say "to eat" in Thai!
กิน (kin), ทาน (tan), รับประทาน (rapatan), แดก (daek), ฉัน (shan) and เสวย (sewy)
We use different words with different situations, different people and different polite level.
For this, it is very simple for thai to differentiate. But I can understand foreigners who trying to learn Thai language right now. There are some verbs and nouns that have so many different ways to say. But once you immerse yourself into Thai and Thai culture. You will understand and learn it very fast!

จะ /ja/ _ _ _ แล้ว /laew/

🙏To sound more polite, end with:

👩ค่ะ /ka/ (low tone)
✏️Note:
“krub” and “ka” are how Thais usually transcribe “ครับ” and “ค่ะ” (Thai language teachers/schools often use “khrap” and “kha” instead.)
