Marking ten years since the brand first arrived in SoHo, Stone Island is pleased to announce the opening of its relocated New York flagship store at 70 Greene Street.
The store was designed by Samir Bantal of OMA/AMO with the support of Jason Long, partner at OMA NY. The space is organized as a sequence of zones that gradually shift in pace, towards a lower level for private fittings, appointments, and gatherings.
As part of an ongoing creative collaboration platform, the store features custom design contributions: lighting by Tim Hooijmans, lounge furniture by Tim Teven and the Supersedia bench by Markus Töll.
Sound—a central element of the brand experience—is delivered via in-wall speakers and a custom audio system developed by Ledongil Workshop. At the lower level, a pair of speakers designed by Friendly Pressure, followed by a DJ booth, further activate the space for special events.
