📍Straw Market
The world famous straw market is a traditional open-air market selling handwoven straw crafts, Bahamian souvenirs & tourist trinkets.
📍Parliament Square
Colonial-influenced pink buildings include the House of Assembly, the Senate Building and the Supreme Court of The Bahamas.
📍Bahamian Cookin’ Restaurant & Bar @ Bayparl Building
Locals were lining up for breakfast so we grabbed a small plate. We arrived too early for their lunch menu.
📍Pompey Square
Open space to sit and relax, shop form local artisans selling handcrafted goods, enjoy lively music.
📍Umbrella Lane on West Hill Street
Cute little photo spot near Graycliff Hotel. Its super busy and there are no sidewalks. Tour buses and taxis line this popular street.
📍Graycliff Hotel (near the Government House)
Grab drinks and enjoy the most beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical garden. This landmark was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
📍Graycliff Chocolatier
Grab some chocolate souvenirs! They also offer tours if you want to learn about chocolate making.
📍Junkanoo Beach
The closest beach to the cruise port. Its free and a 15 minute walk from the port. Snorkel, swim, sun bathe. Beautiful blue and warm waters.
📍Margaritaville Resort
We stayed at this amazing resort which is steps from Junkanoo Beach. Beautiful rooms and views of the harbour. Stay here during your stay or purchase a resort day pass and enjoy the water park, pool, lazy river, and delicious food.
