LI5 Fun + FREE Indoor Spots to Play in NYC
PART II
The cold weather is here to stay—but NYC is packed with fun (and FREE!) places to play! ❄️✨ Here’s Part II of our favorite free indoor spots where kids can explore, create, and play year-round.
📍 Pier 57 Playground – 57 11th Ave
Let kids run, climb, and explore this brand-new faux-grass greenspace with swings, lawn games, open space, and Hudson River views.
📍 American Girl NYC – 75 Rockefeller Plaza
Explore interactive displays and play free games (there is a PAC-MAN arcade game and a basketball game!). In the lower level you will also find a fun Hot Wheels shop + play area.
📍 Harry Potter Store New York – 935 Broadway
Step inside a magical, multi-level flagship filled with immersive displays (be sure to try the wands!) photo ops, and plenty of wizard-worthy merch to explore.
📍 New York Public Library – 455 5th Ave
Explore the beautiful Children’s Center at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, and in warm weather - the rooftop reading area that offers views over Midtown. Check the website for upcoming family events!
📍 LEGO Store – 620 5th Ave
Build at brick stations, create custom minifigures, sit inside a giant LEGO taxi, and snap pics with the massive LEGO sculptures. Don’t miss the Rockefeller Center miniature built from LEGOs.
Have you visited all of these destinations?
