DRRobotics is definitely the future. In gastric surgery I have found it unnecessary and a bit cumbersome. I did my first robotic surgery in 2003 but the machine was just too slow. Fast forward and now the robot has become far more agile to maneuver. Still don’t think it is necessarily better for most of what I do, but getting there.
I love that @intuitivesurgical has created practice modules that feel so life like that no animals are needed. I can hone my skills without hurting sentient beings. Win win.
And yes, I think one day there will be autonomous robots. Crazy!
