slowly but surely, drip feeding my Singapore content slowly - this time we visited @toastboxsg ; another breakfast — kaya toasts of singapore - part 3 slowly but surely, drip feeding my Singapore content slowly — this time we visited @toastboxsg ; another breakfast chain in Singapore that everyone’s heard of and most likely have seen everywhere you go 🥹 on my kaya toast adventure, of course visiting these major chains was a must on the list and so this is my review! 🍞 the bread was toasted to the crispier side! I know it looks kind of dry but when paired with the cold butter and kaya jam, this was a perfect contrast 🧈 a small - medium(ish) slice of cold butter 🤤 good amount for me, not too much given the size of the bread and ratio to the jam 🥥 kaya jam - this one’s quite caramel-y being a Hainanese based kaya. They were quite generous in comparison to the bread. Enough that served as a nice layer for the cold butter to sit on 😌 For a major chain style shop I think it is everything you would expect - you want kaya toast, it delivers! In terms of being different or anything mind blowing, I would say not! There are so many kaya toasts in Singapore, I would say it’s worth trying out other spots if you want something different - but if you want a safe option that does the job, this one’s for you ☺️ While we were here, we also tried out their Peanut Butter toast. This one was served a bit different where we ate cubes of toast with melted PB on top. I thought it was cool how they bruleed the peanut butter and made it extra melt 🥹 gave it an extra Smokey flavour too!
