MIA two year silver journey, that began in 2016, in seconds! #transitiontuesday From dye days, to skunk stripe, to bleached ends, to breakage, to sparkly silver curls! It was tough, but oh so worth it for the sense of liberation I felt. A middle finger to the beauty standards I’d adhered to for almost 20 years of colouring. Was I letting myself go? … absolutely! I didn’t like the dark dye, it was my mask. It concealed my age (or so I thought): I wasn’t having fun with it, I was hiding behind it. There is a big difference. I was letting the ‘myself’ go that believed I needed to fit in, and do what I was told. In letting her go, I found myself. I went from a state of combat to a state of contentment.
