VI“Slow down to get faster.”
Not sure where or when I heard this quote, but it stuck. I’m no endurance pro but one of the best things I ever did for my endurance training was learn about heart rate zones.
If you want to get faster, most of your workouts should be zone 2 workouts (60-70% max HR) and then a zone 4 workout (80-90% max HR) once a week.
Do this for a couple months and you’ll be hitting PRs left and right.
