Happy New Year, Greenville! Here’s everywhere we went last month: @the_lazy_goat had some fun holiday menu items this year like the Roast Beast Feast, and it’s always a fave - especially the fried goat cheese app! @thejones_oysterco is such a fun spot, especially for lunch. Love their lobster rolls and clam chowder, and one of my besties goes for the oysters every time. @upgreenville is our new favorite rooftop spot, with great views of the city, cozy cocktails by the fire, and a creative menu. We loved the Brussels sprouts! @meetinggroundsgvl is now open inside the Hyatt Regency and is so cute! Coffee was great and they have lots of little snacks and market items. Beautiful spot to grab coffee with a friend. We were already obsessed with @theplankatbridgewaystation but their new chef, @chefoswaldocr is bringing the flavor with some insanely good sushi dishes and more. Finally tried @hans_and_franz_greenville on a beautiful 70 degree day and loved the outdoor biergarten, the giant pretzel, and the authentic German food. @arisu1099 is new to Mauldin right on Butler road and serving up so many delicious things. We loved the beef bulgogi and the ramen lunches. We’re excited to be back and starting a fresh new year with you all. Let us know some places you recommend or want to get the scoop on this year! If Hurricane Helene taught us anything last year, it’s that being without power takes a little planning ⚡️ Here are a few things I’ll always do now before a big storm 👇 🧺 Do all the laundry ahead of time, including sheets. Trust me, it piles up fast when the power’s out. ❄️ Move frozen food to a deep freezer and keep it closed. Add a frozen water bottle with a quarter on top. If the quarter sinks, the food isn’t safe. 🔌 Set up your generator before the storm, at least 25 feet from the house and covered, so you’re not searching in the dark. 🍟 Stock up on small frozen foods you can cook in an air fryer. Easy to plug into a generator and way better than a week of sandwiches. 🎨 If you have kids, make a boredom jar with popsicle sticks full of fun activities for nighttime or power-out hours. A little prep goes a long way when the lights go out 💡 #StormPrep #fern #PowerOutageTips #EmergencyPreparedness #UpstateSC
