MO🛰️📡 APP OF THE WEEK: ShadowBroker — one live map for “what’s happening” worldwide
If you enjoy the “radio-adjacent” side of the hobby (satellites, space weather, SDR, aviation/marine tracking), this open-source dashboard is genuinely impressive.
What it is
ShadowBroker is a real-time, multi-source OSINT dashboard that pulls live feeds into one map view — aircraft, ships, satellites, space weather, and more.
Why hams will like it
✅ Satellites on the map (TLE-based tracking) + a day/night terminator overlay (handy for greyline thinking).
✅ Space weather indicator with live NOAA Kp (quick “is it getting spicy?” glance).
✅ KiwiSDR layer: plots 500+ public receivers and lets you open an embedded tuner from the map.
✅ A nice “single pane of glass” approach when you’d normally be bouncing between multiple sites and tools.
Try it (local install)
It’s designed to run locally using Docker/Podman (quick-start steps are in the repo).
Note: some feeds require their own API keys/terms (details are listed in the project’s data sources section).
Important
The author is explicit: it’s for education/research only — not for any operational or intelligence purpose.

Question for the comments:
Would you use this mainly for satellite tracking, space weather, or KiwiSDR exploring?
