Perth has made history, with the WA Museum Boola Bardip hosting an Australian-exclusive exhibition Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor. From 28 June 2025 to 22 February 2026, the Terracotta Warriors will be on display along with over 225 priceless artefacts. First discovered in 1974 near Xi’an, the Terracotta Warriors are one of the most significant archaeological discoveries ever made. An army frozen in time, created to guard China’s First Emperor, Qin Shihuang, in the afterlife​. Visitors will not only experience these incredible warriors up close, but also immerse themselves in the rich history of ancient China through cutting-edge multimedia experiences. The dinosaurs are always a fan favourite- even my 10 month old was pointing and ooooing. I recommend going up to level 3. Don’t forget to look up. 🦕💙 This is a great one if you have multiple children with you and like me your babies start walking super early. It’s cool, indoors and contained. We ❤️ the Wa Museum. #perthtodos #perthmuseum #cityadventure

𝗧𝗔𝗚 your buddies whom you’re asking along! 💬 The Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor exhibition has landed in Perth! From this Saturday 28 June 2025 to Sunday 22 February 2026, come on down to WA Museum Boola Bardip to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. The exhibition showcases over 225 historic artefacts from China — not just the iconic warriors, but also cutting-edge digital installations that bring the experience to life in a whole new way (TeamLab vibes at the ending installation). A significant number of these treasures have never been displayed in Australia before, and nearly half have never left China. Catch a glimpse of some of the newly unearthed pieces making their global debut right here in Western Australia. The installation team has also commented that this was the best overseas exhibition they’ve ever staged. This event has been crowned the biggest international exhibition ever to grace WA, and it meant so much to me, especially seeing Chinese culture and history being celebrated. 🎟️ Tickets are $30 per adult, $15 per junior aged between 5-15 and free for children up to 4 years old. 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬: ✨Watch the Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors documentary on Netflix before your visit. I guarantee the unearthing process and historical stories will definitely enhance your visit experience! ✨There are 7 zones in the exhibition and the warriors are located in the second last exhibit, with the other exhibits showcasing the life, legacy and afterlife of China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang. ✨CPP Cultural Centre is the best car park to park at with a short walk to the museum itself.
