200 Grams of Self — Moist Golden Syrup Cake - Perfect for some weekend Baking!💛 Ingredients 100 Grams of Salted Butter 100 Grams of Brown Sugar 1 Egg 200 Grams of Self Raising Flour 150 Grams Golden Syrup 150 Ml Milk Method Start by creaming together your bitter and sugar until smooth, add in your egg and then the flour, pour in the milk and golden syrup and mix well until you get a smooth batter. Add the batter to a lined tin and pop it in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees celsius until you press the top and it springs back. Serve like this or if you have extra golden syrup stick a skewer in the cake a few times and spread golden syrup over the top and let them drizzle into the cake! Serve and enjoy!

Fill them with pistachio, Nutella or jam! 2 small egg whites 200g ground almonds 125g caster sugar 1 tsp vanilla 50g icing sugar Jam, Nutella or pistachio crème Preheat oven to 180’c Whisk egg whites in a bowl until frothy. Stir in ground almonds, caster sugar & vanilla. Mix well until a dough forms. Place icing sugar in a bowl. Get a lined baking tray ready. Roll tablespoon amounts of dough into balls. Drop the balls into the icing sugar & toss to coat. Remove, shake off a bit of the icing sugar & place on baking tray. Using your index finger, poke a wee hole into each cookie centre. Bake in oven for 15-20 mins, or until lightly browned. Cool completely before filling with Nutella, jam or pistachio crème. #baking #cookies #italian #weekendbaking

Perfect for weekend baking, these simple scones are quick to prepare and bake, and they’re truly irresistible. Enjoy! Ingredients 1/2 cup whipping cream -room temperature 1 large egg -room temperature 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup unsalted butter -cold and cubed 1 3/4 cups flour 1 tbsp baking powder 1/3 cup sugar Zest from 1 1/2 large lemons 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries Whipping cream White sugar Directions - Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. - Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. - Whisk together the whipping cream, egg, and vanilla. Set aside. - Put the butter in a large bowl. - Add in the flour, baking powder, and sugar. - Cut the dry ingredients into the butter. - Mix in the lemon zest. - Mix in the blueberries. - Make a well and pour in the wet ingredients. Mix together using a spoon. - Work the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with the tips of your fingers. Knead the dough but don’t overwork the dough. The ingredients don’t have to be fully combined. - Flour a hard surface so the dough doesn’t stick and turn the dough on top. I like to line my counter with parchment paper. - Work the dough into a ball. Flour the top of the dough if it becomes sticky. - Don’t overwork the dough. The ingredients don’t have to be fully combined. - Flatten the dough till it’s roughly one and a half inch thick. Keep the dough in a circle. - Using a sharp knife or pastry cutter, cut the dough into 8 triangles. - Place on the parchment paper. - Brush the tops with some whipping cream and sprinkle some sugar on top. - Bake for 20-22 minutes. - Remove from the oven and let the scones sit for two minutes. - Place the scones on a wire rack to cool. #baking #scone #bakingathome #freshlybaked #bakersgonnabake
