You’re excited. Motivated. Ready to flip.
And then… you realize you can’t sell half of it. 😩
Not because you’re bad at reselling —
but because you didn’t understand grade codes.
This is one of the biggest (and most expensive) beginner mistakes I see.
So let’s break it down — simple and clear 👇
📦 Pallet Grade Codes — What You NEED to Know
✅ New / A-Grade
Brand new, unused, often still sealed.
Best for beginners. Highest sell-through.
🅱️ B-Grade / Shelf Pulls
Usually new or lightly handled.
May have damaged packaging or minor cosmetic issues.
Still VERY sellable if you know what to expect.
🔁 C-Grade / Customer Returns
Used, missing parts, damaged, or untested.
Higher risk, lower margins — not beginner-friendly.
🚫 E-Grade
Salvage, defective, or “for parts only.”
Most platforms (including Whatnot) cannot sell these.
Here’s the truth 👇
Many new sellers jump straight into C or E pallets because they’re cheaper —
and that’s how they lose money fast.
Understanding grade codes BEFORE you buy can:
✔️ protect your investment
✔️ prevent inventory you can’t sell
