KIYour work isn’t being judged by your talent. It’s being judged by your finish.
The subtle buckles. The dreaded wave under the mat. The warp in the paper that looks worse in the light and makes the entire piece feel unfinished.
People don’t say anything. They just don’t buy it or come back.
Then there’s the framing. Paper works are always displayed behind glass, which looks nice but has glares and reflections, plus it can get expensive.
That’s why I started mounting my paintings to wood panels. It immediately takes it from a piece of paper to a finished object that stands out, is ready to hang, can be framed or not, and is more affordable than framing behind glass.
I’ve spent years perfecting my methods for flattening finished paintings on paper and mounting them to wood panels for collectors, commissions, and placements with The Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Yacht Collection, JW Marriott Hotels, and Regent Seven Seas.
Now I’m sharing them with you as online courses:
👉 Flatten Works on Paper — a reliable method for removing buckling and warping from finished works on paper, any size, every time.
👉 Mount Paper to Panel — a step-by-step process for mounting works on paper to wood panels for a professional, glass-free, ready-to-hang presentation that stands out and piques curiosity.
Whether you’re a working artist or building toward that goal, the techniques covered are the kind that elevate the finished, sellable quality of your work — the kind of details that collectors and galleries notice.
