THI’ve tried a lot of alternative therapies…but paying someone to sting me with bees might be the most unexpected and the most effective.
This is Hoshindo Japanese Meridian Apitherapy, a form of bee venom therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine.
The venom is intentionally applied to specific acupuncture meridian points to stimulate circulation, reduce stagnation and activate the body’s natural healing response.
I first tried this therapy back in 2022, and what I appreciated most was that it works with the body encouraging circulation, reducing stagnation and supporting the nervous system.
Today’s session was very targeted. We focused on points to support my lungs as I’m still dealing with lingering post flu symptoms, sinus points to help with ongoing congestion, and kidney points which in Chinese medicine can become stressed after prolonged coughing and illness.
In Chinese medicine, circulation is everything. When energy and blood flow freely, the body can heal. When things become stuck, symptoms show up. Bee venom is believed to help “wake up” those pathways creating a powerful response at both a cellular and energetic level.
I’m tagging John here…he’s a bee venom expert based in New Mexico who travels regularly to Florida to treat patients. I’ve learned so much from him over the years and am always grateful to work with someone who approaches this therapy with so much intention and respect for both the body and the bees.
Happy to share my experience for anyone who’s curious 🤍
