SYAttacus atlas, commonly known as the Atlas moth, is one of the largest moths in the world, renowned for its impressive wingspan that can reach up to 30 centimeters. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, its wings display intricate patterns and colors resembling snake heads, a natural defense mechanism against predators. Despite its formidable size and appearance, the Atlas moth has a short adult lifespan, living only about two weeks, just enough time to mate and ensure the next generation. The caterpillars of this species are equally remarkable, voraciously feeding on a variety of plants before transforming into pupae.
