What is turbo lag? It's the delay between pressing the accelerator and the turbo actually making boost. At low RPM there's not enough exhaust to spin the turbine fast, so the engine needs a moment to build pressure and spool up. Car makers use smaller turbos, twin-scroll housings, and even electric motors to fight it. That turbine drives another wheel which forces extra fresh air into the engine — this pressure is called BOOST More air → more power → stronger exhaust → turbo spins harder 😮‍💨 It’s a continuous loop of recycled energy ♻️ Hot compressed air can cause knocking(abnormal combustion), so an INTERCOOLER cools it down, making the air denser and safer for combustion. Turbo modification increases an engine’s power by forcing more air into the combustion chamber, allowing more fuel to be burned efficiently. A larger or upgraded turbocharger can produce higher boost pressure than the stock unit, significantly increasing horsepower and torque. Common upgrades include bigger turbo housings, stronger bearings, and improved compressor wheels designed to move more air at higher RPM. However, turbo upgrades require supporting modifications to work safely and reliably. These usually include upgraded fuel injectors and pumps, a stronger intercooler to reduce intake temperatures, reinforced engine internals for high boost, and a proper ECU tune to control air–fuel ratios and ignition timing.
