Stop buying store-bought bread that’s full of preservatives and overpriced. This easy homemade bread uses just 5 ingredients, comes together quickly, and tastes way better than anything from the store.
Ingredients
• 3 cups flour (360 g)
• 2 tbsp olive oil (30 ml)
• 1¼ cups warm water (300 ml)
• 2 tsp active dry yeast (7 g)
• 1½ tsp salt (9 g)
Instructions
1. Combine the warm water and olive oil in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add flour, yeast, and salt. Stir until a dough comes together.
3. Stretch, fold, and shape into a smooth ball.
4. Cover with a towel and let rise for 1–2 hours, until doubled. For faster rising, place in a warm cabinet or other dark spot.
5. Transfer to parchment paper, dust with flour, and shape for a loaf pan.
6. Score the top with a knife and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes, until golden.
7. Cool slightly, slice, and enjoy warm
