NIDo you know what it means?
The world is a bit of a miserable place at the moment so I’m making a choice to “bloomscroll” rather than “doomscroll”. Who wouldn’t want to see things like these gorgeous sweet peas in their feed? I can almost smell them!
Google defines it as the intentional practice of curating your social media feed to focus on positive, uplifting, and inspiring content, serving as a mindful antidote to the anxiety-inducing habit of “doomscrolling” (endlessly consuming negative news). It involves actively seeking out beauty, wisdom, art, nature, and personal growth material to boost your mood and creativity, rather than letting algorithms feed you endless negativity.
And following lots of you lovely people who post pics and flower growing and arranging definitely meets this definition!
Have you heard this word before and will you be bloomscrolling with me from now on? Tag me in your bloomscrolling posts please!
