In order to lose fat and “tone up” (build lean muscle) you need to be fueling your body! That starts with a high protein breakfast so you have stable energy throughout your morning! Starting your day off with protein will allow you to hit your protein goal easier (if you skip a meal you have to double up in another) and protein is KEY to building lean muscles!
Water is CRUCIAL, if you are dehydrated your body will retain water (making you hold on to weight), your energy levels will be low, and you’ll probably notice you have acne/dark circles! If you are hydrating daily, you’ll notice an increase in energy, clear skin, and less bloating!
Strength training. If you don’t lose it you gone lose it CLOCK IT! You may think you only need a calorie deficit to see definition in your muscles but only focusing on that will lead you to what they call “skinny fat” you may be getting slimmer but you won’t see tone muscles. Strength training 3-4x a week is all you need (I have a Full Body Reset program linked in my bio!)
Cardio!! Specifically steady state cardio—if you are trying to lose fat while also toning your muscles you do not need excessive cardio, in fact TOO much intense cardio can hinder your muscle growth results and lead to injury! Focus on walking, the stairmaster or an incline treadmill at a steady pace for 30 min and trust me you will see a difference!
