PAHow to use our beeswax bread bags 🍞✨
They’re one of those products that makes you pause and think… why did we ever make this more complicated than it needed to be?
Our bread bags are made with:
• 100% cotton fabric
• Michigan sourced beeswax
• USA sourced pine resin
• Organic jojoba oil
That’s it. No mystery coatings. No plastic lining. Just simple, hardworking ingredients doing what they’ve done for generations.
The first time you use your bag, you’ll separate the two sides (they may be sealed together from the wax). It’s a one-time thing and then you’re set.
Once your homemade loaf is completely cool (these work best for artisan-style loaves, not pre-sliced sandwich bread), place the cut side down inside the bag. Fold the top down and use the warmth of your hands to press and seal- the beeswax and pine resin create a soft, flexible hold that sticks to itself.
Why we love them as a replacement for plastic bags:
• Beeswax is naturally breathable, which helps keep crusty bread crusty while preventing it from drying out too quickly. Plastic traps moisture and often leaves you with a soggy crust.
• They’re reusable for months (even years with proper care), which means fewer single-use plastic bags heading to the landfill.
To clean: shake out the crumbs and wash with cold water and a mild soap as needed. Let air dry. That’s it.
Simple ingredients. Simple care. A little old-fashioned wisdom in a very modern world 💛
