PAOne of the best ways to do Tricep Pushdowns in my opinion is the cross body tricep extension.
That said a lot of people perform this exercise incorrectly and end up getting shoulder pain so here are the best ways to perform this exercise properly:
1) step behind the cables in order to get your shoulder in a neutral position (and not internally rotated)
2) drive elbows down to your side and keep your shoulder in this position.
3) focus on extending the elbow while keeping your shoulder “frozen” in place
