DRLet me help you ⬇️
If you have more than 3 signs from the reel, then you have deep pigmentation in that area
And here’s what you need to do 👇
1. Before I tell you everything , PLEASE get these tests done to rule out any deficiencies in the body : CBC , B12 , FERRITIN , D3.
2. If your tests are normal, great! Move to the next points for skincare routine. But if your tests show deficiencies, along with the skin routine given below , you also need to add supplements as well.
3. Avoid using too ‘strong fragranced’ or ‘cooling menthol’ toothpaste which can irritate the sensitive skin & cause darkness around your lips. Use basic white toothpaste and not the jelly ones.
4. Use an antioxidant brightening serum in the morning which prevents further damage (LINKED)
5. Don’t forget to use a good broad spectrum sunscreen which not only protects from UV damage but also works on reducing dark spots. (LINKED MY FAV FOR PIGMENTED SKIN)
6. Coming to night routine, always use a gentle micellar water to remove lipstick properly so that it doesn’t cause pigmentation on or around the lips (LINKED)
7. A pigmentation correcting serum is a must in night time skin routine. Don’t fixate on one ingredient serum. Use a combination so it works on all levels of pigmentation. (LINKED WHICH ALL MY PATIENTS HAVE LOVED)
8. Thrice a week, a gentle exfoliation is a great way to reduce pigmentation. Not scrubs but gentle actives like low % glycolic is a game changer. (LINKED WHICH EVEN SUITS SENSITIVE SKIN)
9. Remember to not wax your upper lip as this can increase the pigmentation. For some people even threading irritates (like me) so a face razor is the best option (linked which I personally love & no it doesn’t cause thick hair)
Type ‘SKIN’ and I will send all the details directly in your dm ❤️
