ZAWhat’s thinner?… A Swiss franc coin or Bulgari’s new Octo Finissimo Ultra? 🪙⌚️🤷🏻♂️
•
This was quite an impressive timepiece to finally see in person. Over three years went into developing and producing this masterful feat. With a mind-boggling total thickness of 1.80 mm, the limited edition Octo Finissimo Ultra is the world’s thinnest mechanical watch. Sporting a monochromatic look in sandblasted titanium, the timepiece matches its ultra-thin case with an integrated 1.50 mm thick bracelet, which is also incredibly impressive. And just to kick it up another notch, it has a stainless steel ratchet engraved with a unique QR code, which offers the ability to connect to an NFT certifying the watch and authenticating it’s owner.
The movement:
Octo Finissimo Ultra mechanical watch with ultra-thin movement, manual winding, regulator display, BVL180 caliber, 21'600 vph (4Hz), and 50 hours of power reserve. 40 mm case (1.80 mm thick) in sandblasted titanium, tungsten carbide main plate, hour and minute regulator displays, black PVD hands, second wheel with black index indicator, winding and time-setting wheels in stainless steel, stainless steel ratchet engraved with a unique QR code linked to an exclusive NFT artwork, sandblasted titanium bracelet with an integrated folding buckle.
