What a week. Yesterday Eryn and I stopped by the Balmville Elementary PTA fundraiser at the McDonald’s on North Plank Road after I saw a flier Scott Manley shared. I hadn’t had @mcdonalds in a while, but something about a Quarter Pounder and a Coke just made sense that day. Later that evening, we were at the Renegades game at Heritage Financial Park — tickets I won the week before at @greenleaf.ny grand opening in Newburgh. Zeno, the manager, put together a great event. Vendors, games, food, music — he really created a space that felt fun and easy for the community. It was the kind of event people actually want to stick around for. The game gave me a chance to slow down and catch up with Eryn. So did the @chronogram June Launch Party in Rhinebeck @currentcassis last week. And dinner afterward at Sukhothai in Beacon. We didn’t plan it that way, but I’m grateful for all of it. Chronogram was great — I met a physicist who had me laughing most of the night, and connected with artist Alison Walker, who’s bringing her work to Bank Street Art in Newburgh after time at Regal Bag. She’s now calling the city home. Welcome, Alison. Earlier in the week, I went to the 4th Annual Women Mean Business Luncheon hosted by the @orangechamberny . It was warm, light, and full of good conversation. I met Shirley (hi Shirley), and managed to photobomb and get photobombed more than once. It was that kind of day. I also took a field trip to @havin_a_party and finally meet my favorites in person! Also partnered with @mangiapizzanewcity — if you’re local, you’ll want to check them out. The pizza is delicious!! 😋
