DAThe best way to tie a circle hook on a single trace? The snood knot.
After my recent circle hook videos, a few of you asked about tying directly to the trace without a dropper loop—this is it.
Tied correctly, the snood knot lets the hook sit in line and rotate properly, giving you the best chance of hooking a fish in the corner of the mouth.
Simple to tie, strong, and it works. This is my go to knot for strayline fishing.
Give it a go next time you’re rigging.
