Für Luke sind äußere Umstände immer sehr entscheidend wie z.b welche Decke er tragen soll, wie das Wetter ist und auch wie sein Tag generell war. Meine Einstellung hat sich über die Jahre stark verändert und es gibt Situationen, wo das Clicker Training alles um 180 Grad ins Positive verändert hat und Situationen, wo das Clickern eher nichts verändert hat. Aber alleine für die Situationen wo es nur minimal positives bezweckt hat, lohnt es sich. Luke ist viel bereiter mit zu arbeiten, weil er weiß, dass er auch jederzeit Nein sagen kann und dementsprechend auch lieber ein Ja sagt. Over time, cats start forming a negative association with the carrier. This is why many cats panic the moment it appears. When I first started carrier training my cats, I approached it differently. Instead of only bringing the carrier out when we needed it, I made it part of our everyday environment. Then I slowly changed what the carrier meant to them using positive reinforcement. • Leaving the carrier out so it became familiar and safe space • Rewarding curiosity and voluntary interaction • Using clicker training and treats to guide them inside • Closing the carrier for a few seconds and gradually increasing the time • Walking around the house so they could get used to movement Over time, the carrier stopped being a signal for stress and became just another familiar space. This approach is supported by animal behavior research. Studies in animal learning and behavior show that positive reinforcement and gradual desensitization can reduce fear responses and help animals build positive associations with previously stressful situations. In simple terms: When animals feel safe, in control, and rewarded, they learn much faster. Training isn’t about forcing behavior. It’s about changing what something means to your cat. Phase 3 : Former le maître sur... - Lire son chien afin de comprendre ses comportements - La tenue de laisse - Quand et comment dire non et sanctionner - Quand et comment utiliser le boudin En seulement deux séances (une le matin et une l'après midi), nous sommes passés d'un chien qui attaquait de manière incontrôlable les voitures à un chien qui a appris à se canaliser et passer tranquillement sans attaquer. Le plus important n'est pas d'éduquer le chien, c'est de former le maître, c'est pourquoi les résultats sur le long terme se produiront que si le maître applique au quotidien. Enfin, il n'y a pas UNE méthode, il y a DES méthodes car chaque chien est différent. Plus it is such a handy skill when they can grab things for you! I use a clicker to capture the first moments of putting their mouth on something, then quickly transitioning from the clicker to a marker word so both my hands are freed up. Reward placement is what creates the delivery to my hand as they expect the rewards to show up there. As quickly as possible i introduce as many different types of things for them to retrieve.
