This is ROCK- although I’m considering renaming it Calacatta marble! A handmade natural soap designed to look like marble- the design gets refined batch by batch. Each bar is cold process soap, made in small batches in the UK, using plants and clay ingredients. No two soaps are identical and that’s sort of the point! This is soap-making approached as an art form-nature is the palette and soap is the canvas. Cutting the top away reveals what the soap is meant to be- smooth and stone-like. After cutting, our cold process soap still needs time to cure. During this curing period, the extra water in the soap slowly evaporates. As the water evaporates, the bar becomes harder, milder, and much longer lasting. The pH also settles, which makes the soap gentler for the skin. So this waiting time is very important. It’s not just sitting there..the soap is actually maturing and becoming a better bar. Do you know the difference between cold process soap and melt-and-pour soap? Charcoal gives the bar of Elements soap a unique and captivating appearance, but it's there for its effect.
