NACongee (jook) is a staple
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
2 cups rice (washed)
6 cups water
4 cups chicken broth
3 slices of ginger
4 tbsp garlic powder
Green onions
2 chicken breasts
2 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
1. To a Insant Pot, add washed rice, water, chicken broth, slices of ginger, garlic powder, green onions, chicken breasts, and soy sauce.
2. Mix until everything is combined.
3. Select the “porridge” option and let it cook for ~20 minutes. Once done, let out the steam and shred the chicken (it should come apart fairly easily).
4. Serve and garnish with green onions and chili oil.
