OTIt’s apple season!! 🍎🍎🍎
Don’t miss the experience of going apple picking with your family!! This is a much-loved late summer and early fall family tradition!
This was all new to me when I moved to Ottawa and found that entire families with their little ones filled orchards hunting for some perfect apples!
There are farms with orchards in and around Ottawa. The whole experience can include corn mazes, wagon rides, jumping on hay, photo ops, petting farms, cider shops, food and more! 😃
Apple picking consists of going to the orchards and filling a bag that you’re given at the entrance, and then paying for the size of your bag full of apples. A 10 lbs bag costs between $25 and $30.
Take advantage of the nice weather these days and go for some apple picking fun!! ☺️

🌳 2. Cannamore Orchards: Another family favorite. There is a maze, two different wagon rides, a shop and a variety of delicious apples and other treats. @cannamoreorchard
🚜 3. The Orleans Fruit Farm: Perfect for family outings and the best thing is that it is right in the city, in the Orleans neighborhood, so there is no need to drive a long distance. Details: fermedorleans.com
🏡 3. Pinewood Orchards: A mature apple orchard located only 20 minutes west of downtown Ottawa, in Kanata. They offer several varieties of apples that are all handpicked from their 800+ apple trees. Details: https://www.pinewoodorchards.ca/
What are you waiting for? Gather your friends and family, grab a basket, and make some memories among the apple trees. 🍎🍏
Happy apple picking, folks! 😁
