KOBody control 🦾🤖
In popping, mostly body control means using isolations, techniques such as dime stop, ticking, vibrations, reversal, etc.
Here is 4 things that help me to control the body:
🤖 Physical exercises. From the beginning we need to prepare our body to be ready to use these techniques. Start with simple exercises like pushups, squats, planks, etc. if you have a possibility to go to the gym, let’s goooo!
🤖 Find videos on YouTube with techniques’ tutorials. Start learning them step by step. For example, you found vibration tutorial, so practice it at least 4-5 days and after you can move on to the next technique.
🤖 Integrate them in your style. I know that we all dance different styles, not only popping :) So, try to use these techniques in your own way. If you do choreo, create some pieces with ticking, if you do freestyle - do some basic moves with these techniques.
🤖 Develop the techniques. Once you kinda learn some techniques, make them more different and interesting. Create some concepts like drawing basic shapes with arms but more animated, make sequences with tutting or do storytelling. It will develop your dance.
What does body control mean for you guys?
