Usually “Apply Inverse OOTF” gets applied automatically when you go from a smaller color space to a larger one in your CST in. But you should always make sure to double check when going from Rec. 709 to a log color profile that it is turned on.
Also “OOTF” is short for “Opto-Optical Transfer Function.” The name doesn’t tell you anything about what it actually does. So just watch the video to see how I explain it.
Try your best to always shoot in a log color profile. But if you do accidentally shoot in Rec. 709, it’s not the end of the world.
