I’ve talked to senior engineers and hiring managers - and here’s what I’ve learned: Whether it’s CCNA, AWS CCP, CISSP, or Network+, these certs do can - Teach you new skills - Help increase your pay - Let you pivot into new roles - Give you more career options - Open doors into new specialties - Make you stand out to your employer - Keep you up to date with changing tech - Keep you current on technology changes - Introduce you to peers through study groups But a certification without hands-on skill is just... paper.
