Today was my first time getting Ombré Powder brows by the lovely Samyra, AKA @desiredbrows! She’s based in Columbia, MD, and her service is A1! She’s a perfectionist, which is good when it comes to beauty services!
If you don’t know what ombré powder brows are, they’re a semi-permanent makeup technique (lasting up to 3 years) used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. Unlike microblading, which mimics individual hair strokes, ombré powder brows create a soft, shaded look—like a subtle brow pencil or powder. So it’s like you wake up with makeup! How much better does it get?
As far as the pain, the shading is a bit uncomfortable, but nothing unbearable. Plus, Samyra used numbing cream for some parts, so some of it I didn’t even feel!

KEIf you asked me a few years ago what my favorite part of my modelling job was I would probably say a couture fashionshow or a editorial-shoot. If you ask me now I would say definitely a commercial shoot with the fam! The little ones are having the times of their lives and the parents don’t have to fake any smiles with a shoot like this🫶🏼.

MAListen to these models’ helpful tips and experiences auditioning for @officialdcfashionweek. From over a 1000 applications, the group was narrowed down to about 250, which was then invited to showcase their best runway walk in front of the judges! @dashtalents was there to scout and talk to these hard working models! And if you ask, our big tip is to keep practicing your walk, posing, expression, work on your confidence, and don’t give up! Sometimes we give up right before the best is about to knock on our door!
