In this video, I take a look at the latest Virtual Reality enhancements in Siemens Process Simulate 2512 and show what’s new for VR collaboration, performance, and usability.
You’ll see how Process Simulate Collaborate is now the standard way to host VR collaboration sessions across networks, why it improves stability and security, and how licensing works for hosts and guests.
I also highlight the new VR rendering pipeline, which delivers much smoother frame rates and better responsiveness in complex studies.
Another major upgrade is immersive posturing: human figures can now be positioned naturally in VR using controllers, with access to posture libraries, pose snapshots, and easy posture transfer between humans.
On top of that, improved Vive body tracking provides smoother, more realistic motion capture for high-fidelity simulations.
Finally, I show VR spawn locations, which let you define custom entry points into the VR scene—perfect for multi-user collaboration where each participant needs a unique starting position.
