Raised Bed Garden pt. 2 with @espomaoragnic 🥦⁣ #EspomaPartner ⁣ Filling ten raised beds is no easy task, but @adreslinski and I were up for the challenge. First we filled about a third of the beds with leaf litter and yard debris. The brown waste will decompose over time and it takes up lots of space which saves time and money 🪵 ⁣ ⁣ Next we filled the remainder of the bed with Espoma raised bed mix, potting soil and compost (Mushroom and Land & Sea). This blend is ideal for drainage, provides plenty of plant nutrients, and because there are no harmful chemicals, it is also pet safe for Lucy 🐶 ⁣ Here’s a specific breakdown of the ratios:

4x8 @gardeners cedar raised beds⁣ 1/3 filled with leaf litter and yard debris⁣ ~12 bags of raised bed mix ⁣ ~4 bags potting soil⁣ 4 bags of mushroom compost⁣ 4 bags of land & sea compost ⁣ ⁣ We just finished the planting this week so stay tuned to see what we are growing 👀⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #raisedbed #raisedbedgardening #raisedbedgarden #compost #homestead #soil #organicgardening
