AUI’m starting to hear this “6–7” everywhere. Kids saying it. Teenagers laughing about it. But do we actually know what it means?
Before we repeat anything, we should understand what we’re saying. Not everything that sounds innocent is actually innocent. Words can carry meanings that go against our values, our morals, and our identity as Muslims.
“6–7” is not as harmless as it sounds. It carries a meaning that many would be ashamed to repeat if they actually knew what it stood for. This is why it’s important to pause, learn, and educate ourselves and our children. Not everything trending is worth following.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
Be aware of what comes out of your mouth. Protect your tongue. Protect your children. Not everything that is popular is pure, and not everything that is trending is clean.
Learn before you speak. Guard your words, for one day those words will testify for you or against you. #devil #kids #innocent #world
